Recruitment

Gwerinwyr Gwent Folk Dance group is looking for new members!  We dance for pleasure, not competition, and take part in Folk Festivals both in the UK and Europe - a wonderful way to have fun and see the world!

Welsh dance steps are basic and easy to learn, and you will have lots of help from our teachers and the other dancers.  Come along and see for yourself at one of our practices.  Beginners or experienced dancers are very welcome.

Perhaps your talents lie in music.  Our band is also looking for new members and would welcome anyone who would like to come along and give it a try.  Guitar, accordion, melodeon or harp players particularly welcome.

We practice every Thursday 8-10pm at the Graig Community Hall, Bassaleg, NP10 8LG (opposite the Ruperra Arms). Just come along, or ring 01495 271953 for more details or drop an e-mail to Sue Venn.   Dancing is fun; it’s exercise but you don’t have to be superfit to do it….give it a try!
